CtrlTrial wins CTNext’s Fall 2021 Entrepreneur Innovation Awards (EIA)


Hartford, CT (October 29, 2021) – The winners of CTNext’s Fall 2021 Entrepreneur Innovation Awards (EIA) were announced today after a pitch event was held Thursday evening at Connecticut Innovations’ offices in The District, New Haven. The EIA is the oldest major pitch competition in Connecticut, sponsored by CTNext, the subsidiary of Connecticut Innovations dedicated to supporting innovation-based startup and early-stage companies and to expanding the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Ten companies selected from a pool of applicants pitched to judges from the startup, VC and angel investor community.


Winners of $10,000 grants included: CtrlTrial of New Haven, IV Comfort Solutions of Fairfield, and Tezrec of Storrs. Quality Counseling of Hamden won the Judges’ Favorite, a $2,000 grant. The Crowd Favorite Award of $2,000, voted for by attendees and online viewers, went to Engagement Solutions of Old Lyme.
